Drs. Lauck and Corley subscribe to
the latest industry journals to keep tabs on research and development
in the dental industry. Dr. Lauck has received a Fellowship in orthodontics
from the International Orthodontic Association and a Fellowship in
general dentistry from the Academy of General Dentistry. Both doctors
have taken extensive hours of continuing education. Dr. Lauck has
amassed more than 2,000 hours of continuing education since her graduation.
As a team and as individuals, our office makes it our responsibility
to be familiar with the latest techniques and materials available.

We routinely use models and digital
imaging to help our patients visualize the end results of cosmetic
and restorative work. By simply asking the right questions, taking
various photos and measurements of your current smile, we can create
a model of your new smile that will demonstrate how your procedure
will look. You can go home with your temporary smile to receive feedback
from friends and family.

We have a full-time hygiene coordinator
who will send you a card to remind you of your next checkup, typically
every six months. While twice daily brushing and flossing go a long
way towards maintaining a healthy mouth, it is wise to check for
plaque that has hardened into tartar, which requires professional
cleaning in order to avoid gingivitis.

We generally recommend children come
into the dental office by the age of four. Of course the mother and
father are the best judges of when their children can visit the dental
office, as many children come in even earlier. On the first visit,
we recommend the child sits on mommy's or daddy's lap during the
parent's dental cleaning, so the child can begin to have a positive,
non-threatening experience of the dental office. This will lead to
a lifetime of good dental health and a positive relationship with
Drs. Lauck and Corley.

breaks, carefully wrap up the piece(s), place it into a protective
container, and call our office to schedule an appointment with Dr.
Lauck or Dr. Corley to re-apply it as soon as possible. Under NO
circumstances should you attempt to re-glue the crown or crown pieces
back into position.

If there is no imminent medical emergency
such as uncontrolled bleeding, unconsciousness, or other bodily injury,
please contact us immediately to see Dr. Lauck or Dr. Corley as soon
as possible. Simply describe the situation over the phone and our
office staff will help you determine the safest and most appropriate
plan of action. In the meantime, if possible, place the tooth in
a cup of milk, so the calcium will continue feeding the tooth.

We offer laser dentistry and air abrasion.
Dental lasers provide drill-free treatment options that are faster
and more comfortable than traditional methods. Air abrasion removes
decay and prepares teeth for fillings without the drill. Dr. Lauck
or Dr. Corley simply cleans out and prepares the site to be filled
by sending a blast of tiny, high-speed aluminum oxide particles
into the cavity itself. The particles hit the tooth under high pressure,
bounce off at high speeds, and consequently blast away any decay.
Air abrasion is quiet, quick and relatively painless and avoids
sacrificing tooth structure.

It is certainly not desirable to have
bleeding gums following brushing. However, the condition may or may
not require attention, depending on the source of the problem. Bleeding
gums can be caused by improper, rough, 'scrubbing' instead of gentle,
circular brushing motions; using a hard-bristled tooth brush instead
of a soft one; plaque and/or tartar build-up below the gum line;
or gum sensitivity due to gingivitis or periodontal disease. If this
problem persists despite correct brushing and flossing methods or
occurs every time you brush, contact our office to set up an evaluation
appointment.

offer laughing gas and local anesthesia to keep you comfortable and

Dr. Lauck and Dr. Corley have a number
of ways to improve the look of your front teeth without the use of
traditional braces. For slightly crooked or unevenly worn teeth,
a bit of reshaping and the addition of porcelain veneers may be sufficient
to give them a bright, uniform look. In other cases, it may be necessary
to attach 'invisible' braces behind the front teeth. We also offer
Invisalign braces, which straighten teeth through a series of invisible,
removable, and comfortable aligners no one can tell you're wearing.
We would be happy to talk with you further about the option that
best suits your individual situation.
